Dosing schedules from the FDA label

32 medicines · Quoted from DailyMed with section numbers · Labels checked

Short answer: Each page below copies the dosing schedule from the medicine's FDA label: the starting dose, how and when it steps up, the maximum, and what the label says about a missed dose and switching. Every number cites its label section. This is the label's standard schedule; your prescriber's plan for you comes first.

Which dosing schedules are covered?

Only medicines with a current FDA label on DailyMed are here, and each page uses that one label. We do not add numbers from studies, forums or other sources. Bydureon BCise is not included because it was discontinued in the U.S. and its label is no longer listed on DailyMed.

How should I read a label dosing schedule?

Many labels start low and step up over weeks to reduce side effects, then name a maintenance dose and a maximum. The label tells your prescriber the standard pace; it also lists what to do after a missed dose when it has a rule. Some medicines, like testosterone, are adjusted by blood tests rather than a fixed step-up, and the label says when to check. Your own plan may differ, and your prescriber decides it.

This page is what the FDA label says, in plain words. It is not medical advice. Follow your prescriber, and ask them or your pharmacist about anything here.

Frequently asked questions

Where do these dosing schedules come from?+
From the Dosage and Administration section (section 2 on newer labels) of each medicine's current FDA label on DailyMed. Tables are copied with their exact numbers and section number, and each page links the DailyMed label it used.
Should I follow the label schedule or my prescriber?+
Your prescriber. The label gives the standard schedule the FDA approved; a prescriber may start lower, step up more slowly or stop at a lower dose for good reasons. These pages show what the label says so you can follow along and ask questions.
Do the pages say what to do after a missed dose?+
Yes, where the label has a missed-dose rule it is quoted with its section. Several labels, including most testosterone and hormone labels, have none, and the page says so plainly.
Are research peptides like BPC-157 covered?+
No. Research peptides have no FDA label, so there is no official dosing schedule to quote. Only medicines with a DailyMed label have pages here.
