Short answer: The Leqvio label dose is 284 mg as a single injection under the skin, given by a healthcare professional: once at the start, again at 3 months, and then every 6 months. It is for adults and children 12 and older. If a dose is missed by less than 3 months it is given and the original schedule kept; if more than 3 months, the schedule starts over.
This is what the FDA label says. Follow your prescriber. Your prescriber may use a different dose or pace than the label's standard schedule.
What Leqvio is approved for: Leqvio is a small interfering RNA (siRNA) aimed at PCSK9, approved alongside diet and exercise to lower LDL cholesterol in adults with high cholesterol (hypercholesterolemia), in adults and children 12 and older with heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HeFH), and in children 12 and older with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HoFH) (section 1).

Leqvio is given by a healthcare professional as a single injection under the skin of the abdomen, upper arm or thigh. It is not injected into areas of active skin disease or injury, such as sunburn, rash, inflammation or infection (section 2.2).
Each prefilled syringe holds one 284 mg dose in 1.5 mL. The solution should be clear and colorless to pale yellow (sections 2.2 and 3).
The table below is the label's schedule, from the Dosage and Administration section. Numbers are copied exactly; the section is in brackets.
| When | Dose |
|---|---|
| Initially | 284 mg as a single subcutaneous injection |
| At 3 months | 284 mg |
| Then every 6 months | 284 mg |
The same 284 mg dose is used for adults and children 12 and older.
LDL cholesterol is checked when clinically indicated. The label says the lowering effect can be measured as early as 30 days after starting, at any time regardless of when the last dose was given.
No dose change is needed for mild, moderate or severe kidney impairment. Leqvio has not been studied in end-stage kidney disease or in severe liver impairment (sections 8.6 and 8.7).
Leqvio is stored at room temperature, 20 C to 25 C (68 F to 77 F), with brief excursions between 15 C and 30 C allowed.
The label says: "If a planned dose is missed by less than 3 months, administer LEQVIO and maintain dosing according to the patient's original schedule. If a planned dose is missed by more than 3 months, restart with a new dosing schedule - administer LEQVIO initially, again at 3 months, and then every 6 months."

In Dose Track you set up Leqvio as a protocol with the dose and schedule your prescriber gave you. A protocol can hold dose steps, each with its own dose and length in days or weeks, so a step-up plan like the one on the label can be entered once and the app moves to the next step on its own. Reminders follow the schedule, and every dose is logged with the date and time, so you can see which step you are on and when your last dose was. The app follows what you enter; it does not choose or change a dose.
