Short answer: The Tymlos label dose is 80 mcg injected under the skin once daily into the area around the belly button, at about the same time every day, rotating the site daily. Each pen holds 30 doses. The first several doses are given where the person can sit or lie down. Use for more than 2 years in a lifetime is not recommended.
This is what the FDA label says. Follow your prescriber. Your prescriber may use a different dose or pace than the label's standard schedule.

Tymlos is injected under the skin (subcutaneously) into the periumbilical region of the abdomen once daily, at about the same time every day, rotating the site every day. It is not given into a vein or muscle (section 2.2).
The Medication Guide says to avoid the 2-inch area right around the belly button, that Tymlos can be taken with or without food or drink, and not to take more than 1 injection in the same day.
The first several doses are given where the person can sit or lie down in case of dizziness on standing (section 2.2).

Tymlos should be clear and colorless and is not used if it has particles or is cloudy or colored. Patients and caregivers are trained on the pen first.
If active kidney stones or high urine calcium are suspected, measuring urine calcium may be considered.
After 18 months of Tymlos in the women's trial, patients moved to alendronate 70 mg once weekly, with similar side effects whether they had taken Tymlos or placebo before.
If you forget or cannot take Tymlos at your usual time, take it as soon as you can on that day. Do not take more than 1 injection in the same day.
More on this: missed a dose of Tymlos.
In Dose Track you set up Tymlos as a protocol with the dose and schedule your prescriber gave you. A protocol can hold dose steps, each with its own dose and length in days or weeks, so a step-up plan like the one on the label can be entered once and the app moves to the next step on its own. Reminders follow the schedule, and every dose is logged with the date and time, so you can see which step you are on and when your last dose was. The app follows what you enter; it does not choose or change a dose.
