Short answer: Sogroya is injected under the skin once a week, at any time of day. Children with growth hormone deficiency take 0.16 mg/kg once weekly; children with SGA, Noonan syndrome or idiopathic short stature take 0.24 mg/kg. Adults start at 1.5 mg once weekly and step up by about 0.5 to 1.5 mg every 2 to 4 weeks, to a maximum of 8 mg.
This is what the FDA label says. Follow your prescriber. Your prescriber may use a different dose or pace than the label's standard schedule.
What Sogroya is approved for: Sogroya is a once-weekly growth hormone analog approved for children aged 2.5 years and older with growth failure from growth hormone deficiency, short stature after being born small for gestational age with no catch-up growth by age 2, growth failure with Noonan syndrome, or idiopathic short stature. It is also approved to replace growth hormone in adults with growth hormone deficiency (section 1).

Sogroya is injected under the skin (subcutaneously) once weekly, at any time of the day, in the upper arms, thigh, abdomen or buttocks, rotating the site each week (section 2.1).
It comes in three single-patient-use prefilled pens. The solution should be clear to slightly opalescent and colorless to slightly yellow (section 2.1).
An eye (fundoscopic) exam is done before starting to rule out swelling of the optic nerve (section 2.2).
The table below is the label's schedule, from the Dosage and Administration section. Numbers are copied exactly; the section is in brackets.
| Patient group | Dose on the label |

| Children with SGA, Noonan syndrome or ISS | 0.24 mg/kg based on actual body weight once weekly |
| Adults with GHD | Start 1.5 mg once weekly; increase every 2 to 4 weeks by approximately 0.5 mg to 1.5 mg; maximum 8 mg once weekly |
| Adults aged 65 and older | Start 1 mg once weekly with smaller dose increments |
| Women taking oral estrogen | Start 2 mg once weekly |
| Adults with moderate hepatic impairment | Start 1 mg once weekly with smaller increments; maximum 4 mg once weekly |
| Strength | Dose increments (mg) | Dose Delivery Range (mg) |

| 10 mg/1.5 mL (6.7 mg/mL) | 0.05 | 0.05 to 4 |

In children, the dose is individualized based on growth response. If growth does not speed up, especially in the first year, the label calls for checking adherence and other causes such as hypothyroidism, undernutrition, advanced bone age or antibodies to growth hormone.
Children treated for growth hormone deficiency whose growth plates have closed are re-evaluated before continuing Sogroya.
Adult doses are adjusted by clinical response and IGF-1 levels, drawn 3 to 4 days after the previous dose, and lowered for side effects or IGF-1 above the age- and sex-specific normal range.
Sogroya is not recommended in severe liver impairment (adults or children) or in children with moderate liver impairment. No adjustment is recommended for mild liver impairment.
If intracranial hypertension is confirmed, Sogroya can be restarted at a lower dose once the signs have resolved.
A missed dose can be taken within 3 days after the scheduled dosing day, and the next dose is taken on the regular day. If more than 3 days have passed, the missed dose is skipped and the next dose is taken on the regularly scheduled day.
More on this: missed a dose of Sogroya.
From daily growth hormone (children): choose the day for the weekly dose and take the last daily dose the day before (or at least 8 hours before) the first Sogroya dose. Children start at the same Sogroya dose as those new to treatment.
From another weekly growth hormone (children): continue the once-weekly schedule.
Adults switching from daily growth hormone start at 1.5 mg once weekly, the same as adults new to treatment.
In Dose Track you set up Sogroya as a protocol with the dose and schedule your prescriber gave you. A protocol can hold dose steps, each with its own dose and length in days or weeks, so a step-up plan like the one on the label can be entered once and the app moves to the next step on its own. Reminders follow the schedule, and every dose is logged with the date and time, so you can see which step you are on and when your last dose was. The app follows what you enter; it does not choose or change a dose.
