Dose Track reminds you on your Wegovy shot day, logs each single-dose pen with its injection site, and counts how many pens are left in the box. Weight sits next to your doses, so each step from 0.25 mg toward 2.4 mg lines up with how your weight moved.
Per the FDA label, Wegovy injection starts at 0.25 mg once weekly for weeks 1–4, then steps to 0.5 mg, 1 mg and 1.7 mg every 4 weeks, reaching 2.4 mg maintenance at week 17 (2.2, Table 1). For adult weight reduction, the label allows a maximum of 7.2 mg weekly after at least 4 weeks on 2.4 mg.
| When | Dose on the label | Label note |
|---|---|---|
| Weeks 1–4 | 0.25 mg once weekly | Starting dosage |
| Weeks 5–8 | 0.5 mg once weekly | Dosage escalation |
| Weeks 9–12 | 1 mg once weekly | Dosage escalation |
| Weeks 13–16 | 1.7 mg once weekly | Dosage escalation |
| Week 17 onward | 2.4 mg once weekly (recommended maintenance) or 1.7 mg | Maintenance dosage depends on the indication (2.2) |
Wegovy has five steps before maintenance, each 4 weeks long. In Dose Track you record each new dose from the day you start it. If your prescriber delays a step, you simply keep logging the current dose; the app never moves you up by itself.
Each Wegovy pen is single-dose: one pen is one weekly shot, and a carton holds 4 pens. Dose Track counts pens, so a carton of 4 is 4 weeks of doses. There is nothing to mix or measure.

Each row is something worth writing down for Wegovy, why it matters for this medicine, and what Dose Track does with it.
| What to track | Why it matters | In Dose Track |
|---|---|---|
| Shot day | The label gives Wegovy once weekly on the same day each week, at any time of day, with or without meals (2.1). | A weekly reminder on your day. Logging on another day asks whether it was a one-off or a new shot day. |
| Dose step | The label goes 0.25, 0.5, 1 and 1.7 mg, 4 weeks each, then 2.4 mg (or 1.7 mg) for maintenance (2.2, Table 1). | Record each new dose from the date it starts; earlier doses keep their amounts. |
| Pens left | A carton holds 4 single-dose pens, one per week (3, 16). | Dose Track has the Wegovy pen sizes from the label. Each shot takes one pen off, with a run-out date and an order-by date based on how long your pharmacy takes. |
| Weight | Wegovy is labeled, with a reduced-calorie diet and more physical activity, to reduce excess body weight and keep it off (1). | Log weight in the app or sync it from Apple Health or Health Connect. It shows next to your doses. |
| Injection site | The label rotates sites with each dose across the abdomen, thigh or upper arm (2.1). | Each shot is logged with its site; the app suggests the next one. |
| Stomach side effects | Nausea, diarrhea, vomiting and constipation were the most common reactions on 2.4 mg in the label's trials (6.1). | Quick picks for the GLP-1 side effects people log most, with a severity, shown against your dose step. |
| Reaction | Placebo (N=1,261) | Wegovy 2.4 mg once weekly (N=2,116) |

| Fatigue | 5% | 11% |
| Dyspepsia | 3% | 9% |
| Dizziness | 4% | 8% |
| Abdominal distension | 5% | 7% |
| Eructation | <1% | 7% |
| Hypoglycemia in type 2 diabetes | 2% | 6% |
| Flatulence | 4% | 6% |

| Hair loss | 1% | 3% |
| Dysesthesia | 1% | 2% |
In the adult weight-reduction trials, 73% of Wegovy injection-treated patients and 47% of placebo patients reported gastrointestinal adverse reactions, and the label states these reactions were most frequently reported during dosage escalation (6.1).
Dose Track has quick picks for the side effects people on GLP-1 medicines log most: nausea, constipation, diarrhea, reflux or heartburn, tiredness, low appetite, injection-site reaction and headache. You can type in anything else, set how bad it was, and see it next to the dose and the dose step you were on.
Wegovy side effects from the FDA label
Per the label, if one dose is missed and the next scheduled dose is more than 2 days away, the missed dose is given as soon as possible; if it is less than 2 days away, the missed dose is skipped and dosing resumes on the regular day. If 2 or more consecutive doses are missed, the label says to reinitiate escalation at a lower dosage. (2.4) Missed a Wegovy dose.
In Dose Track a missed dose stands out in your history, so you can see the gap and count from the right day.
Dose Track is a tracking app, not medical advice. It records what you and your prescriber decide; it does not recommend doses. Check any dose change with your prescriber.
