Dose Track logs every testosterone enanthate shot, from a 200 mg/mL vial or a weekly Xyosted autoinjector, with its site and the mL to draw. It keeps your trough testosterone, hematocrit and blood pressure next to the doses that produced them.
For male hypogonadism, the testosterone enanthate label suggests 50 to 400 mg every 2 to 4 weeks, injected slowly and deep into the gluteal muscle. It says total doses above 400 mg per month are generally not required and injections more often than every two weeks are rarely indicated. Delayed puberty is 50 to 200 mg every 2 to 4 weeks for a limited time.
| Use | Dose on the label | How often | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Male hypogonadism (replacement therapy) | 50 to 400 mg | Every 2 to 4 weeks | Suggested dosage |
| Males with delayed puberty | 50 to 200 mg | Every 2 to 4 weeks | For a limited duration, for example, 4 to 6 months |
| Palliation of inoperable mammary cancer in women | 200 to 400 mg | Every 2 to 4 weeks | Followed closely; androgens occasionally appear to speed the disease |
Xyosted is different: one 0.5 mL autoinjector under the skin of the abdomen every week, starting at 75 mg, with the dose moved by 25 mg based on a trough level drawn 7 days after the last dose (Xyosted label 2.2). In Dose Track, record each dose change from its date so every trough result lines up with the dose that produced it.
In the US, generic testosterone enanthate comes as 200 mg/mL in 5 mL multi-dose vials; 250 mg/mL is common outside the US. It is an oil solution, so nothing is mixed. Xyosted comes as single-dose autoinjectors of 50, 75 and 100 mg.
Testosterone enanthate is injected slowly and deeply into the gluteal (buttock) muscle, following the usual precautions for intramuscular injections, such as avoiding a blood vessel (Dosage and Administration).
The label notes that a wet needle or syringe can make the solution cloudy without changing its strength. It is a clear, colorless to pale yellow solution.
| Strength | 0.1 mL | 0.25 mL | 0.5 mL | 1 mL |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 200 mg/mL | 20 mg | 50 mg | 100 mg | 200 mg |
| 250 mg/mL | 25 mg | 62.5 mg | 125 mg | 250 mg |

| What to track | Why it matters | In Dose Track |
|---|---|---|
| Injection schedule | The vial label gives 50 to 400 mg every 2 to 4 weeks; Xyosted is once a week. | Weekly, every N days or custom schedules, each with a reminder. |
| Route and site | The vial is injected deep into the gluteal muscle; Xyosted goes under the skin of the abdomen only (Xyosted 2.3). | Log muscle sites or abdomen sites, with a suggested next site and any site reaction. |
| Trough testosterone | Xyosted's dose is set by a trough level: 650 ng/dL or more means 25 mg less, under 350 ng/dL means 25 mg more (2.2). | Upload the lab report; total testosterone is read out and shown next to the dose you were on. Set your own testosterone range. |
| Hematocrit | Xyosted's label checks hematocrit before starting and about every 3 months (5.1); the vial label checks it periodically with high doses. | Hematocrit from lab reports is charted over time. |
| Blood pressure | Xyosted raised blood pressure by an average of 3.9/1.5 mm Hg after 12 weeks in trials (5.4). | Log readings in Vitals and see them over time. |
| Vials or autoinjectors left | A 5 mL vial at 200 mg/mL is 1,000 mg; Xyosted is one autoinjector per week. | Count mL in the vial or single-dose autoinjectors, with a run-out date. |
The testosterone enanthate label lists androgen side effects without percentages. In men: breast enlargement, frequent or long erections and low sperm count at high doses. In all users: acne, extra hair, male-pattern baldness, fluid retention, nausea, liver test changes, polycythemia, raised cholesterol, headache, mood and libido changes, and injection-site pain. It has no boxed warning but warns about clots, blood pressure and abuse.
The Xyosted label gives percentages from its 1-year study: hematocrit increased 14.0%, hypertension 12.7%, PSA increased 12.0%, injection site bruising 6.7% and headache 5.3%, with no placebo group.
Dose Track has quick picks for what people on testosterone log most: acne, mood swings, water retention, trouble sleeping, injection-site reaction and headache. Type in anything else, set how bad it was, and it sits next to the injection and dose it followed.
