Testosterone mL to mg Calculator: 200 and 250 mg/mL

How many mg is in your draw depends on the strength printed on the vial. Pick the mg/mL, enter mL or mg, and get the other, plus cc and insulin-syringe units.

Worked example: mg = mL × mg/mL. At 200 mg/mL, 0.5 mL is 0.5 × 200 = 100 mg and 1 mL is 200 mg. At 250 mg/mL, 0.5 mL is 125 mg and 1 mL is 250 mg. 1 mL is 1 cc, which is 100 units on a U-100 insulin syringe. Amounts on this page are examples to show the math, not dose recommendations. How much to take is a decision for you and your prescriber.

Each row is a volume; each column is a vial strength. 0.25, 0.5 and 1 mL are highlighted. These are conversions, not doses.

How to convert testosterone mL to mg

  1. mL to mg: mL × mg/mL = mg. 0.3 mL at 200 mg/mL is 60 mg.
  2. mg to mL: mg ÷ mg/mL = mL. 150 mg at 250 mg/mL is 0.6 mL.
  3. cc and units: 1 cc = 1 mL = 100 units on a U-100 insulin syringe.

The strength on the vial is what matters, not the ester. The Depo-Testosterone label lists testosterone cypionate at 100 mg/mL and 200 mg/mL, and the US testosterone enanthate injection label is 200 mg/mL. Other vials, including 250 mg/mL, use the same math with their own number.

Cypionate or enanthate: does the conversion change?

No; mg = mL × mg/mL for both. How the two compare otherwise is in testosterone cypionate vs enanthate. The guides for testosterone cypionate and testosterone enanthate cover vial strengths and schedules, and the testosterone cypionate half-life chart shows how weekly and twice-weekly schedules compare. Frequently asked questions

How much is 1 mL of testosterone enanthate?+
1 mL holds whatever strength is printed on the vial. At 200 mg/mL, the strength of the US testosterone enanthate injection label, 1 mL is 200 mg. A vial labeled 250 mg/mL gives 250 mg per mL. Always read the mg/mL on your own vial.
How many mg is 0.5 mL of testosterone cypionate?+
Half the labeled strength. At 200 mg/mL, 0.5 mL is 100 mg; at 100 mg/mL it is 50 mg; at 250 mg/mL it is 125 mg. Depo-Testosterone comes in 100 mg/mL and 200 mg/mL.
How many mg is 1 cc of testosterone cypionate?+
1 cc is the same as 1 mL, so it is the full labeled strength: 100 mg at 100 mg/mL, 200 mg at 200 mg/mL, and 250 mg at 250 mg/mL.
How many mg is 0.25 mL of test cyp?+
A quarter of the labeled strength: 25 mg at 100 mg/mL, 50 mg at 200 mg/mL, and 62.5 mg at 250 mg/mL.
What does 250 mg/mL mean?+
Each mL of oil holds 250 mg. So 0.1 mL is 25 mg, 0.4 mL is 100 mg, 0.5 mL is 125 mg and 1 mL is 250 mg. To find the mL for an amount, divide the mg by 250.
How many units on an insulin syringe is 0.5 mL?+
50 units on a U-100 insulin syringe, where 1 mL is 100 units. 0.25 mL is 25 units and 1 mL is 100 units. The mg in those units depends on the vial strength.
Is the math different for cypionate and enanthate?+
No. For either one, mg = mL × the mg/mL on the label. The two esters differ in other ways; see the testosterone cypionate vs enanthate comparison. A vial labeled 400 mg/mL (sold as "Test 400") is a different strength: 0.5 mL of it is 200 mg. Enter it as a custom strength above.
