Dose Track turns each testosterone cypionate dose into mL and syringe units for your vial strength, logs the injection site, and counts down the mL left in the vial. Your total testosterone, estradiol and hematocrit results sit on the same timeline as your shots.
For replacement in males with hypogonadism, the Depo-Testosterone label gives 50 to 400 mg every two to four weeks, injected deep into the gluteal muscle. It says the dose depends on age, sex and diagnosis and is adjusted by response and side effects. Before starting, low testosterone is confirmed by morning blood tests on at least two separate days.
| Use | Dose on the label | How often |
|---|---|---|
| Replacement in the hypogonadal male | 50-400 mg | Every two to four weeks |
| Inducing puberty in hypogonadal males | Various regimens; no single dose given | Adjusted to chronological and skeletal age |
Many prescribers split the weekly amount into smaller, more frequent shots instead of the label's every two to four weeks. Dose Track supports weekly, twice-weekly, every-N-days and custom schedules; set the one your prescriber gave you and log the dose you actually take.
Testosterone cypionate is an oil that is already a solution: Depo-Testosterone comes in 100 mg/mL and 200 mg/mL, in 1 mL and 10 mL vials. There is nothing to mix; what you need is the volume to draw for your dose, which depends only on the strength.
Depo-Testosterone is for intramuscular use only, given deep in the gluteal (buttock) muscle. It must not be given into a vein (Dosage and Administration).
The label says crystals that form in a cold vial can be redissolved by warming and shaking it, and the solution is inspected for particles before use.
| Strength | 0.1 mL | 0.25 mL | 0.5 mL | 1 mL |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 100 mg/mL | 10 mg | 25 mg | 50 mg | 100 mg |
| 200 mg/mL | 20 mg | 50 mg | 100 mg | 200 mg |
Testosterone mL to mg calculator
Each row is something worth writing down for testosterone cypionate, why it matters for this medicine, and what Dose Track does with it.
| What to track | Why it matters | In Dose Track |
|---|---|---|
| Shot day and dose | The label range is wide (50 to 400 mg every two to four weeks) and is adjusted by response, so the dose and gap you are on matter. | Set weekly, twice weekly or every N days; each shot is logged in mg with its mL and syringe units for your vial. |
| Injection site | The label gives it deep into the gluteal muscle; many people rotate between muscle sites. | Pick glute, ventrogluteal, deltoid, quad or lat (or a site under the skin); the app suggests the next one and records any redness, swelling, bruising, lump or itching. |
| mL left in the vial | A 10 mL vial at 200 mg/mL holds 2,000 mg; how long it lasts depends on your dose. | Each logged dose comes off the vial in use, with a run-out date and a day to reorder. |
| Total testosterone and estradiol | The label confirms low testosterone with two morning tests before starting; follow-up tests guide the dose. | Upload a lab report as a photo or PDF. Total T, free T, estradiol and SHBG are read out, and you can pick the testosterone range your results are judged against. |
| Hematocrit | The label lists polycythemia (too many red blood cells) and says hemoglobin and hematocrit are checked periodically with long-term use. | Hematocrit from each lab report is charted on its own, next to your doses. |
| Blood pressure | The label says testosterone can raise blood pressure and it is monitored periodically. | Log blood pressure readings in Vitals. |
The Depo-Testosterone label lists side effects seen with androgens without giving percentages: breast enlargement, frequent or long erections, acne, oily skin, male-pattern hair loss, fluid retention, nausea, a rise in red blood cells (polycythemia), headache, mood changes, and pain at the injection site. Its warnings cover blood clots, blood pressure, heart risk, liver tumors with long high-dose use, and abuse. It has no boxed warning.
Dose Track has quick picks for what people on testosterone log most: acne, mood swings, water retention, trouble sleeping, injection-site reaction and headache. Type in anything else, set how bad it was, and it sits next to the injection and dose it followed.
Depo-Testosterone side effects from the FDA label
The Depo-Testosterone label gives no missed-dose instruction. Ask your prescriber what to do if an injection is late. Missed a Depo-Testosterone injection.
In Dose Track a late or missed injection shows in your history, so you can tell your prescriber exactly how many days it was.
Dose Track is a tracking app, not medical advice. It records what you and your prescriber decide; it does not recommend doses. Check any dose change with your prescriber.
