Short answer: Check two numbers on your label: the time allowed out of the fridge and the maximum temperature. Zepbound and Mounjaro single-dose pens allow 21 days total up to 30°C (86°F); Wegovy pens 28 days at 8-30°C; an in-use Ozempic pen 56 days. Humatrope allows only 30 minutes a day. Research peptides have no tested allowance.
| Product | Time allowed | Temperature |
|---|---|---|
| Zepbound / Mounjaro single-dose pen or vial | Up to a total of 21 days | Not above 30°C (86°F) |
| Zepbound / Mounjaro KwikPen or multi-dose vial | 30 days total at room temperature (unopened or in use) | Up to 30°C (86°F) |
| Wegovy single-dose pen or syringe | Up to 28 days, before the cap is removed | 8-30°C (46-86°F) |
| Ozempic single-dose syringe | Up to 28 days | 8-30°C (46-86°F) |
| Ozempic or Wegovy FlexTouch pen, after first use | 56 days | 15-30°C (59-86°F) |
| Saxenda / Victoza pen, after first use | 30 days | 15-30°C (59-86°F) |
| Norditropin FlexPro, after first use | 3 weeks | Up to 25°C (77°F) |
| Genotropin MiniQuick, before mixing | Up to 3 months | At or below 25°C (77°F) |
| Humatrope, after mixing | No more than 30 minutes per day | Room temperature |
| Genotropin cartridge, Omnitrope | No room-temperature allowance given; keep refrigerated | 2-8°C (36-46°F) |
| Novarel, Pregnyl hCG (unmixed powder) | Stored at room temperature before mixing | Novarel 20-25°C; Pregnyl 15-25°C |
| Egrifta SV / WR (unmixed) | Stored at room temperature | 20-25°C (68-77°F) |
Zepbound and Mounjaro count a total of 21 days: time out of the fridge adds up across trips. The Wegovy Medication Guide also says to throw the pen away if it has been exposed to temperatures above 86°F (30°C). Product pages: tirzepatide, semaglutide, liraglutide, HGH, hCG, tesamorelin.
No FDA label covers these, and we found no published study of how long the mixed vial stays stable in a fridge. So there is no tested number of hours that is "fine". What the general literature reports is that peptides in solution degrade faster as temperature rises, through reactions like deamidation and oxidation (Manning 2010), and that a dry powder is more stable than a mixed vial (Wang 2000). Whether a particular vial is still usable cannot be answered from published data. Not personalized advice.
