Section 16.2: “Discard the cartridge and any unused medication after 28 days.”
The pen Instructions for Use: “Between uses, store your pen (with the cartridge) in the refrigerator 36°F to 46°F (2°C to 8°C) in its protective case. Always remove the needle before storing. Do not freeze. Protect from light.” And: “Throw away the cartridge within 28 days after mixing, even if the cartridge is not empty.”
Unlike Norditropin, Genotropin cartridges have no room-temperature option. Dose math is on the HGH page.
Every Genotropin form says do not freeze. The label gives no room-temperature allowance for cartridges or for a mixed MiniQuick, so ask your pharmacist before using one that froze or was left out. Do not shake it; mix gently as the Instructions for Use describe.
The Genotropin Instructions for Use: “When travelling, keep your pen in its protective case and carry it in an insulated bag to protect it from heat or freezing. Put your pen back in the refrigerator as soon as possible.”
