How to set up a blend

Dose Track for iPhone and Android · Updated

Short answer: Open the Dashboard, tap Stacks, then the Blends tab. Tap New, choose Blend, add at least two compounds with their mg per vial and per injection, and tap Use This Blend. When you log it, each compound is saved as its own dose.

Before you start: A Blend is several compounds mixed in one vial and drawn together. A Stack is separate vials you take together. This page covers blends.

Steps

  1. Open BlendsTap the Dashboard button (bottom right), then Stacks, then the Blends tab.
  2. Start a new blendTap New (or Create Blend or Stack if you have none yet), then Blend (One vial · multiple compounds drawn together).
  3. Name itType a Blend Name.
  4. Add the compoundsTap Add Compound and search for each one. A blend needs at least 2 compounds.
  5. Enter the amountsFor each compound, enter mg in vial (what the label says is in the vial) and the dose per injection. In a blend the doses are linked: change one and the others scale to match the vial ratio.
  6. Add it to a protocolTap Use This Blend. Choose New protocol to make a protocol with just this blend, or pick a protocol under OR ADD TO EXISTING.

How a blend is logged

On Home, a blend shows as one row, with each compound and its share of the dose listed under it. Tap + to open the log sheet. It shows a Per-Component Breakdown. Change any one compound and the rest follow the vial ratio.

When you tap Log Dose, the app saves one dose per compound and tags each with the blend, for example "Logged via blend: Wolverine". You see a message such as Logged 2 doses via "Wolverine". So your history and charts for each compound count blend doses as well as any doses you take on their own.

One-tap logging does not apply to blends. The sheet always opens so each compound gets the right amount.

Starting from a preset

The Blends tab also lists Community Recommendations by goal. Tap one to open it in the builder, check the amounts against your own vial label, and tap Use This Blend. If a compound in it is not in the app yet, the builder marks it Not in medication database. Add it as a custom medication first.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a blend and a stack?+
A blend is one vial with several compounds mixed in, so they are always drawn together. A stack is separate vials taken together, so each dose is set on its own.
Why do I see separate doses for each compound in my history?+
A blend dose is saved as one dose per compound, each tagged with the blend name. That keeps each compound's own history complete.
Can I edit a blend after I add it?+
Yes. Open it from the Blends tab to change the compounds or amounts, then tap Save Changes.
