Short answer: Go to Settings › Account, scroll to Delete and tap Delete account. Review what goes, type DELETE, confirm with your password, and tap Permanently delete account. It happens right away. Cancel Pro separately with Apple or Google.
Steps
- Open your Account pageOpen the Profile tab, scroll to the bottom and tap Settings. Tap Account.
- Start deletingScroll to Delete and tap Delete account. Nothing is deleted until the last step.
- Review what happensBefore you go lists what is lost (your sign-in, your encrypted backup, any pending transfer) and what stays. Tap Continue.
- Pro users: cancel firstIf you have Pro, the next screen reminds you deleting does not cancel it. Tap Manage subscription, cancel, then I've cancelled, continue.
- ConfirmType DELETE. Email accounts also enter the password. Apple and Google accounts sign in with that provider again. Tap Permanently delete account.
What stays on your phone
Deleting your account removes it from the servers, along with the backup and any transfer waiting. The records on this phone are not touched. To erase those too, use Settings › Data Management: Delete Specific Data clears one category, and Delete Account & Data wipes everything on the phone and starts the app over. Deleting the app also removes its data from the phone.
Only want to stop backups? On the first delete screen, tap Only want to stop backups? to turn off automatic backup, delete just the backup, or sign out instead.
Forgot your password, or no longer have the app
Email hello@dosetrack.app from the address you signed up with and ask for the account to be deleted. The delete account page has the details. The backup cannot be recovered, only deleted.
Hub posts are not tied to your account email. To have them removed, email hello@dosetrack.app.
Does deleting my account delete the data on my phone?+
No. It deletes your account, backup and pending transfer from the servers. Use Data Management in Settings, or delete the app, to clear the phone.
Does deleting my account cancel Pro?+
No. Cancel Pro in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions, or you will keep being charged.
Can a deleted account be recovered?+
No. Deletion is immediate and permanent, and the encrypted backup cannot be recovered.
