Short answer: Store Rybelsus and Ozempic tablets at 68-77°F (20-25°C), with brief trips to 59-86°F (15-30°C) allowed. Keep them in the original bottle until you take one, because the bottle protects them from moisture; the label says not to store them in any other container. No fridge needed. Source: oral semaglutide label, section 16 and Medication Guide.
Rybelsus and Ozempic tablets share one US label. Section 16: “Store RYBELSUS and OZEMPIC tablets at 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F); excursions permitted to 15°C to 30°C (59°F to 86°F). Store and dispense in the original bottle.”
It continues: “Store tablets in the original bottle until use to protect tablets from moisture. Store product in a dry place away from moisture.”
| Question | Label answer |
|---|---|
| Temperature | 68-77°F (20-25°C); excursions 59-86°F (15-30°C) |
| Container | Original closed bottle until you take a tablet |
| Other containers | Do not store in any other container (Medication Guide) |
| Moisture | Dry place, away from moisture |
The Medication Guide says: “Store tablets in the original closed RYBELSUS or OZEMPIC bottle until you are ready to take one. Do not store in any other container.” That rules out weekly pill organizers and loose tablets in a bag. A steamy bathroom cabinet is also a poor spot, given the warning about moisture.
Wegovy tablets carry the same rule on the Wegovy label. More on the Rybelsus guide, the Ozempic pill page and the semaglutide page.
Bring the original bottle. Brief excursions to 59-86°F (15-30°C) are allowed, so normal travel is fine; avoid leaving the bottle in a hot car. TSA recommends, but does not require, that medicines be labeled to speed up screening.
If the tablets got wet or the bottle was left open in humid air, the label does not say how long they last; ask your pharmacist.
