Short answer: If it has been 3 days (72 hours) or less since your scheduled day, the Sogroya label says the missed dose can be taken, and the next dose goes back to your usual day. If more than 3 days have passed, skip it and take the next dose on your regular day. Do not double up.
| Situation | What the label says |
|---|---|
| Schedule | Once weekly |
| 3 days (72 h) or less after the scheduled day | Take the missed dose (2.6) |
| More than 3 days | Skip it; take the next dose on the usual day (2.6) |
| Changing your day | Not covered in the label |
| Half-life (adults) | About 2 to 3 days (12.3) |
Section 2.6 of the Sogroya prescribing information says that if a dose is missed, it can be taken within 3 days after the scheduled dosing day, and weekly dosing then resumes on the regular day. The Patient Information gives the same window as 3 days (72 hours).
Example: your Sogroya day is Monday and you remember on Wednesday. That is 2 days, so under the label you would inject Wednesday and still inject the next Monday.
Section 2.6 says to skip the dose and give the next one on the regularly scheduled day. Using the same example, if you remember on Friday (4 days late), you would skip it and inject the following Monday.
Somapacitan binds to albumin in the blood, which slows its clearance enough for weekly dosing. The label gives a half-life of about 2 to 3 days in adults with growth hormone deficiency and about 34 hours in children, and says it is cleared within a week after stopping (section 12.3).
Section 2.3 says to choose the weekly day and take the final daily dose the day before, or at least 8 hours before, the first Sogroya dose. Missed-dose timing then counts from that chosen day.
