Nandrolone decanoate is an anabolic steroid, a synthetic derivative of testosterone (19-nortestosterone), attached to a decanoate ester and dissolved in oil for injection into muscle.
Also known as: Deca-Durabolin, Deca.
The US label (Watson Laboratories) lists 100 mg/mL in 2 mL multi-dose vials and 200 mg/mL in 1 mL single-dose vials, in sesame oil. It is already a solution, so there is nothing to mix.
Nandrolone decanoate is already a solution, so there is no mixing. The only math is turning an amount in mg into a volume. Here it is at 200 mg/mL for 100 mg.
100 mg ÷ 200 mg/mL = 0.5 mL0.5 mL × 100 = 50 units| Amount | Volume | U-100 syringe |
|---|---|---|
| 50 mg | 0.25 mL | 25 units |
| 100 mg | 0.5 mL | 50 units |
| 150 mg | 0.75 mL | 75 units |
| 200 mg | 1 mL | 100 units |
The US label indicates nandrolone decanoate for the anemia of kidney failure, at 50 to 100 mg per week for women and 100 to 200 mg per week for men, by deep injection into muscle, preferably the buttock, stopping if blood counts have not improved within six months. Drugs@FDA lists Deca-Durabolin and every US generic nandrolone decanoate application as discontinued.
Anabolic steroids are Schedule III controlled substances in the US. Use without a prescription is illegal, and the labels warn about liver damage (including peliosis hepatis and liver tumors), cholesterol changes and suppression of the body's own testosterone and sperm production. The label also notes that nandrolone lowers HDL and raises LDL cholesterol, which return to normal after stopping.
In a study of healthy men, nandrolone metabolites stayed detectable in urine for up to 6 months after a single 150 mg injection (Bagchus 2005), which matters for drug-tested sport.
The US label gives no half-life. In healthy men given a single injection into muscle of 50, 100 or 150 mg (Bagchus 2005), the terminal half-life was 7 to 12 days and blood levels peaked about 30 hours after 50 or 100 mg and 72 hours after 150 mg. Dose Track uses 8 days and 60 hours, inside those ranges. Another study (Minto 1997) found that peak levels depend on injection site and volume, with the highest levels after a 1 mL injection into the buttock.
Numbers shown are the values Dose Track uses, listed only where they agree with the source above. Half-life varies from person to person and with injection site.
