Short answer: Store new Saxenda pens in the fridge at 36-46°F (2-8°C), not in the freezer or next to the cooling element. After first use, a pen can be kept for 30 days at 59-86°F (15-30°C) or in the fridge. Do not use Saxenda that has been frozen. Unused pens are good until the printed expiration date if kept refrigerated. Source: Saxenda label, section 16.

Section 16: “After initial use of the SAXENDA pen, the pen can be stored for 30 days at controlled room temperature 59°F to 86°F (15°C to 30°C) or in a refrigerator.” The Medication Guide: “Throw away the used SAXENDA pen after 30 days.”
Saxenda is liraglutide, the same molecule as Victoza at a higher dose. See the Saxenda guide and the liraglutide page.
Frozen: “Do not freeze SAXENDA and do not use SAXENDA if it has been frozen” (section 16).
Too warm: the in-use range tops out at 86°F (30°C). The Saxenda label does not give a separate rule for heat above that; the Victoza label, for the same molecule, says to throw the pen away. Ask your pharmacist about a specific pen.
An in-use Saxenda pen can travel at 59-86°F (15-30°C) for the rest of its 30 days. Spare new pens should be kept cold until first use.
