Short answer: Nesina and Kazano: section 16 says store at 25°C (77°F) with excursions to 59° to 86°F, while the Medication Guide says 68°F to 77°F; Kazano adds keep the container tightly closed. Jentadueto and Jentadueto XR: 68°F to 77°F with excursions to 59°F to 86°F, protected from high humidity, and the leaflet says keep tablets dry. None gives a fridge instruction.
Nesina (alogliptin) is a DPP-4 inhibitor tablet, and Kazano combines alogliptin with metformin; both are Takeda labels. Jentadueto and Jentadueto XR (Boehringer Ingelheim) combine linagliptin, the drug in Tradjenta, with metformin.

The two parts of each Takeda label are worded differently. Nesina section 16: “Store at 25°C (77°F); excursions permitted to 15° to 30°C (59° to 86°F) [see USP Controlled Room Temperature].” The Nesina Medication Guide: “Store NESINA at room temperature between 68°F to 77°F (20°C to 25°C).”
Kazano section 16 is the same line plus “Keep container tightly closed.” The Kazano Medication Guide says “Store KAZANO at room temperature between 68°F to 77°F (20°C to 25°C)” and “Keep the container of KAZANO tightly closed.”
Both are shown here as printed. Neither label mentions the refrigerator or light, and Nesina says nothing about moisture.
Yes. Section 16 of both labels: “Store at 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F); excursions permitted to 15°C to 30°C (59°F to 86°F) [see USP Controlled Room Temperature]. Protect from exposure to high humidity.” Both Medication Guides add “Keep tablets dry.” A closed bottle away from a steamy bathroom covers both.
Neither label says anything about light or about keeping the tablets in the original bottle. Plain linagliptin is on the metformin, Januvia, Janumet and Tradjenta page.
Dosing: Nesina, Kazano, Jentadueto and Jentadueto XR. Missed a dose: Nesina, Kazano, Jentadueto, Jentadueto XR. Comparisons: Nesina vs Januvia, Kazano vs Janumet and Jentadueto vs Janumet.
No ice pack is needed. Keep tablets in the closed bottle in your carry-on, within the excursion range of 59°F to 86°F (15°C to 30°C), and out of a hot car.
