Set Personal Lab Target Ranges in Dose Track
[Help · Health data and labs]

How to set your own lab target ranges

Dose Track for iPhone and Android · Updated

Short answer: Open the Dashboard button, then Tools, then Lab Targets. Each marker has a card. Enter a Low, a High or both, and tap Save. Your target then decides what counts as on target for that marker. With no target set, the app uses the range printed on your lab report.

Before you start: Targets are yours to set, usually with your clinician. The app does not suggest one.

Steps

  1. Open Lab TargetsTap the round Dashboard button, then Tools. Under LOOK UP, tap Lab Targets (Set personal target ranges per biomarker).
  2. Pick your unitsUse the switch at the top to choose Conventional (for example ng/dL) or SI (for example nmol/L). This also changes your default lab unit.
  3. Fill in a markerOn a marker card, type a Low, a High or both. You need at least one. Low must be less than high, and both must be above 0.
  4. Add a label if you likeThe Label (optional) field lets you name the target, for example "TRT target".
  5. SaveTap Save on that card. The card shows Target set. Each card saves on its own, so you can set some markers and leave the rest on the lab range.
  6. Go back to the lab rangeTap Reset to lab range on a card to remove your target for that marker.

Which markers are listed

The list includes Total Testosterone, Free Testosterone, Estradiol, TSH, HDL, LDL, Fasting Glucose, HbA1c, Ferritin and Vitamin D (25-OH). Each card says whether higher is better, lower is better, or the value should sit within a range. The grey numbers in empty fields are placeholders, not advice.

Lab ranges differ between labs, and a personal target is a choice you make with your clinician. See the glossary for what each test measures, for example hematocrit.
