Short answer: With 2 mL of bacteriostatic water in a Sermorelin + Ipamorelin, 5 mg + 5 mg vial (5 mg Sermorelin + 5 mg Ipamorelin), every 10 units on a U-100 insulin syringe holds 250 mcg Sermorelin and 250 mcg Ipamorelin. The ratio is fixed, so you cannot change one peptide without changing the others. Amounts are arithmetic on the label, not dose advice.
This blend puts sermorelin, a GHRH analogue, and ipamorelin in one vial. It is the same idea as the CJC-1295 + ipamorelin blend with a different GHRH analogue. Sermorelin was once FDA approved as GEREF, which is now discontinued.
Most listings are 5 mg + 5 mg (10 mg total). A 10 mg + 10 mg vial also appears. Both are 1:1, so each draw holds equal amounts of the two.

The water volume changes how big each draw is, not what is in the vial. The highlighted row is 2 mL.
| Water added | Units in vial | Sermorelin / 10 units | Ipamorelin / 10 units |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 mL | 200 | 250 mcg | 250 mcg |
| 3 mL | 300 | 166.7 mcg | 166.7 mcg |
| 5 mL | 500 | 100 mcg | 100 mcg |
| Water added | Units in vial | Sermorelin / 10 units | Ipamorelin / 10 units |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 mL | 200 | 500 mcg | 500 mcg |
| 3 mL | 300 | 333.3 mcg | 333.3 mcg |
| 5 mL | 500 | 200 mcg | 200 mcg |
| Units drawn | Volume | Sermorelin | Ipamorelin |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5 units | 0.05 mL | 125 mcg | 125 mcg |
| 10 units | 0.1 mL | 250 mcg | 250 mcg |
| 20 units | 0.2 mL | 500 mcg | 500 mcg |
| 30 units | 0.3 mL | 750 mcg | 750 mcg |
For any other vial, water volume or draw, the free peptide blend calculator does the same math for 2 to 5 peptides.
mg of that peptide ÷ mL of water. For Sermorelin + Ipamorelin, 5 mg + 5 mg with 2 mL: Sermorelin 5 ÷ 2 = 2.5 mg/mL, Ipamorelin 5 ÷ 2 = 2.5 mg/mL.amount ÷ its concentration = mL. Example: 250 mcg of Ipamorelin is 0.25 ÷ 2.5 = 0.1 mL.mL × 100 on a U-100 syringe: 0.1 × 100 = 10 units.mL × concentration for each other peptide: 250 mcg Sermorelin.A blend is one solution, so every draw takes the same share of each peptide. In the example above, drawing 10 units for 250 mcg of Ipamorelin also gives 250 mcg Sermorelin. Doubling the draw to 20 units doubles all of them, to 500 mcg Sermorelin. There is no draw that changes one peptide and leaves the others where they are.
More or less water does not help either: it changes how many units each draw is, not the ratio between the peptides. If you need to set the amount of each peptide on its own, they have to be in separate vials (a stack), each with its own single-peptide calculation.
We found no published human study of Sermorelin + Ipamorelin blend as a blend. Below is what is published for each peptide on its own. "Amounts studied" are what a study gave or reported, often by a different route; they are not personalized advice. Confirm anything about your own use with your prescriber.
A 29-amino-acid analogue of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). It was FDA approved as GEREF (sermorelin acetate). Drugs@FDA now lists both GEREF applications as discontinued, with a Federal Register determination that the product was not discontinued or withdrawn for safety or effectiveness reasons. [1][2][3]
Amounts studied: A 1999 review describes a single 1 mcg/kg dose into a vein as a test for growth hormone deficiency, and 30 mcg/kg under the skin once daily at bedtime as a treatment in some prepubertal children with idiopathic growth hormone deficiency. We found no published trial of sermorelin mixed with ipamorelin.
FDA compounding list: On FDA's page of bulk drug substances that may present significant safety risks in compounding, sermorelin is not listed (checked October 2026). [4]
Not FDA approved. It has been studied in people: a pharmacokinetic study in healthy men measured a half-life of about 2 hours, and a phase 2 trial after bowel surgery found no significant difference from placebo on its main outcome. [5][6][7]
Amounts studied: Both human studies gave it into a vein: infusions of 4.21 to 140.45 nmol/kg over 15 minutes (healthy men), and 0.03 mg/kg twice daily for up to 7 days (after bowel surgery). No published trial gave it under the skin or in a blend.
FDA compounding list: On FDA's page of bulk drug substances that may present significant safety risks in compounding, ipamorelin acetate is in category 2 for 503B outsourcing facilities (added September 29, 2023) and also in the "nominated but withdrawn" list. FDA notes a published study that "identified serious adverse events including death" when ipamorelin was given into a vein. [4]
Regulatory status. Neither peptide is an FDA-approved product today. Sermorelin was approved as GEREF; Drugs@FDA lists GEREF as discontinued, with a Federal Register determination that it was not withdrawn for safety or effectiveness reasons. Ipamorelin was never approved, and FDA lists ipamorelin acetate in category 2 for 503B outsourcing facilities on its page of bulk drug substances that may present significant safety risks. [1][4]
