Short answer: All three labels say 68°F to 77°F (20°C to 25°C). Duavee has the strict rules: keep tablets in the blister until right before you take one, no pill boxes or pill organizers, protect from moisture, and use within 60 days of opening the foil pouch. Osphena and Evista give only a temperature, with excursions to 59°F to 86°F in section 16. None gives a fridge instruction.
Duavee combines conjugated estrogens with bazedoxifene. Osphena (ospemifene) and Evista (raloxifene) are single-drug tablets in bottles.
| Question | Duavee | Osphena | Evista |
|---|---|---|---|
| Section 16 temperature | 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F) | 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F) | Controlled room temperature, 20° to 25°C (68° to 77°F) |
| Excursions | To 15°C to 30°C (59°F to 86°F) | To 15°C to 30°C (59°F to 86°F) | Within the USP definition quoted in section 16: between 15° and 30°C (59° and 86°F) |
| Moisture | Protect from moisture | Not stated | Not stated |

| After opening | Use within 60 days of opening the foil pouch | Not stated | Not stated |

| Patient leaflet | Room temperature between 68°F to 77°F (20°C to 25°C) | Room temperature between 68°F to 77°F (20°C to 25°C) | 68°F to 77°F (20°C-25°C) |
Section 16: “DUAVEE tablets should be stored at 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F); excursions permitted to 15°C to 30°C (59°F to 86°F). See USP Controlled Room Temperature. Dispense product in the original package. Tablets should not be removed from blisters until immediately before use. Protect from moisture. After opening foil pouch, product must be used within 60 days.”
The 60 days are worded two ways. Section 16, the Patient Information storage section and the pack count from opening the foil pouch. Section 17.1 and the Patient Information dosing section say do not use it if the blister package has been open more than 60 days.
Osphena section 16.2: “Store at 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F); excursions permitted to 15°C to 30°C (59°F to 86°F) [see USP Controlled Room Temperature].” The Patient Information: “Store OSPHENA at room temperature between 68°F to 77°F (20°C to 25°C).”
Evista section 16.2: “Store at controlled room temperature, 20° to 25°C (68° to 77°F) [see USP].” It then quotes the USP definition, which “allows for excursions between 15° and 30°C (59° and 86°F) that are experienced in pharmacies, hospitals, and warehouses.” The Medication Guide: “Store EVISTA at 68°F to 77°F (20°C-25°C).”
Neither label mentions moisture, light or pill organizers. The patient leaflets give 68°F to 77°F only; the 59°F to 86°F excursions appear in section 16.
Dosing: Duavee, Osphena and Evista. Missed a dose: Duavee and Evista. Side effects: Duavee, Osphena and Evista. Comparisons: Evista vs Duavee, Duavee vs Prempro, Osphena vs Intrarosa, Osphena vs Vagifem, Evista vs Fosamax, Evista vs Prolia and Evista vs tamoxifen.
No ice pack is needed. Take Duavee in its blister card, not a pill box, and keep it dry; the 60 days keep counting from the day the foil pouch was opened. Keep Osphena and Evista in their bottles in your carry-on, within 59°F to 86°F (15°C to 30°C), and out of a hot car.
