Short answer: Store Crinone gel and Endometrin inserts at room temperature, 68-77°F (20-25°C). The Endometrin label also allows excursions to 59-86°F (15-30°C). Neither label calls for refrigeration. Each Crinone applicator is single-use; each Endometrin insert comes in its own sealed foil pouch with a disposable applicator. Sources: Crinone label, How Supplied; Endometrin label, section 16; both patient leaflets.
| Product | Temperature | Packaging |
|---|---|---|
| Crinone 4% (45 mg) and 8% (90 mg) gel | 20-25°C (68-77°F) | Single-use, disposable prefilled applicators; 8% applicators each sealed in a foil overwrap |
| Endometrin 100 mg vaginal insert | 20-25°C (68-77°F); excursions 15-30°C (59-86°F) | Each insert in a sealed foil pouch; 21 inserts with 21 disposable applicators |
Crinone leaflet: “Store Crinone at room temperature between 68°F to 77°F (20°C to 25°C). Do not use Crinone after the expiration date printed on the box.” Endometrin leaflet: “Store ENDOMETRIN at room temperature between 68°F to 77°F (20°C to 25°C).”
Neither label says anything about the refrigerator or freezer. The Crinone label gives no excursion range outside 68-77°F.
The Endometrin leaflet says not to use other vaginal products while using it. Both labels say to keep the medicine out of the reach of children.
See Crinone side effects, Endometrin side effects, the Crinone and Endometrin dosing schedules, and the progesterone page.
Both are room-temperature products, so they need no ice pack. Keep them in your carry-on, within 68-77°F (20-25°C) for Crinone and 59-86°F (15-30°C) for Endometrin, and out of a hot car.
