Short answer: Store Atelvia at controlled room temperature, 68-77°F (20-25°C). The label gives no excursion range and says nothing about the refrigerator, light or moisture. Atelvia 35 mg comes in a Dosepak of 4 tablets, one a week. The tablet coating is part of how it works, so the label says not to chew, cut or crush it. Source: Atelvia label, section 16 and Medication Guide.
Section 16: “Store at controlled room temperature 20° to 25° C (68° to 77° F) [see USP].” Medication Guide: “Store Atelvia between 68° F to 77° F (20° C to 25° C).”

Section 17 says patients should not chew, cut or crush the tablet because of a potential for irritation of the mouth and throat, and because the tablet coating is an important part of the delayed-release formulation.
Atelvia is risedronate like Actonel, but it is taken right after breakfast with at least 4 ounces of plain water, not before food. See the Atelvia dosing schedule, Atelvia side effects, missed an Atelvia dose, and Fosamax, Actonel and ibandronate storage.
No ice pack is needed. Keep the Dosepak in your carry-on, at room temperature and out of a hot car. If your weekly day falls on a travel day, the label still asks for the tablet right after breakfast.
