Short answer: Tested together as CagriSema, an investigational fixed combination; most users had stomach side effects.
Cagrilintide plus semaglutide (CagriSema) has been tested in large trials as a single investigational product, not as a do-it-yourself stack. In the phase 3 REDEFINE 1 trial, average weight loss was 20.4% at 68 weeks vs 3.0% on placebo. Gastrointestinal side effects affected 79.6% vs 39.9% on placebo, mostly mild to moderate and temporary.
The phase 2 trial in 92 people with type 2 diabetes found 15.6% weight loss at 32 weeks with CagriSema vs 5.1% with semaglutide and 8.1% with cagrilintide alone. Trial products were made and dosed under study conditions; results don't apply to separately sourced cagrilintide. No FDA label for cagrilintide was found on DailyMed as of October 2026.
