Short answer: Before first use, keep Tymlos pens in the fridge at 36-46°F (2-8°C). After the first injection, store the pen at room temperature, 68-77°F (20-25°C), for up to 30 days, then throw it away even if medicine is left. Do not freeze it or expose it to heat. Each pen holds a 30-day supply of once-daily 80 mcg doses (section 16.1).
Unlike Forteo, which stays in the fridge the whole time, an in-use Tymlos pen is kept at room temperature. See the Forteo page, the abaloparatide page and missed a Tymlos dose.
The label says do not freeze or subject to heat, and gives no allowance outside 68-77°F (20-25°C) for an in-use pen. Ask your pharmacist about a pen that went outside these limits. See also left out of the fridge.
An in-use Tymlos pen travels at room temperature, but its range tops out at 77°F (25°C). In warm weather, an insulated bag helps keep it in range. Unused pens should stay cold.
