How to store Femara (letrozole)

Quoted from the US label · Unopened vs in use · Travel · Sources · Reviewed

Short answer: Store Femara tablets at 68-77°F (20-25°C), with excursions between 59°F and 86°F (15-30°C) permitted. The label gives no fridge instruction and no other conditions. Femara 2.5 mg comes in HDPE bottles of 30 tablets with a safety screw cap. Generic letrozole has its own label. Source: Femara label, section 16.

What does the Femara label say?

Section 16: “Store at 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F); excursions are permitted between 15°C and 30°C (59°F and 86°F).” The Femara label has no separate patient leaflet, so section 16 is the only storage text.

Is generic letrozole stored the same way?

Generic letrozole tablets carry their own labels, which are usually similar; check the one from your pharmacy. For comparison, the other aromatase inhibitors on this site are on the Arimidex, Clomid and levothyroxine page. See also the Femara dosing schedule and missed a Femara dose.
