Section 16: dutasteride is absorbed through the skin, and Avodart capsules should not be handled by women who are pregnant or could become pregnant because of the potential risk to a developing male fetus. If a pregnant or possibly pregnant woman touches a leaking capsule, the label says to wash the area right away with soap and water. A heat-damaged, leaking capsule is one more reason to keep Avodart away from hot cars and sunny windowsills.
