Short answer: Keep Evenity in the fridge at 36-46°F (2-8°C) in its carton, away from light. Do not freeze or shake it. If taken out of the fridge, it can stay at room temperature up to 77°F (25°C) in the carton but must be used within 30 days, or thrown away. Evenity is given by a healthcare provider. Section 16.2: “Refrigerate EVENITY at 2°C to 8°C (36°F to 46°F) in the original carton to protect from light. Do not freeze. Do not shake.” If removed from the refrigerator, it “can be kept at room temperature up to 25°C (77°F) in the original carton and must be used within 30 days. If not used within 30 days, discard EVENITY.” Also: do not expose it to temperatures above 77°F (25°C).

Section 2.1 says Evenity should be given by a healthcare provider. Each monthly 210 mg dose is two 105 mg prefilled syringes injected one after the other (sections 2.1 and 16.1), for 12 monthly doses. The Medication Guide covers patients who pick it up from a pharmacy: keep it in the refrigerator in the carton, and once it is out, keep it at up to 77°F (25°C) and use it within 30 days. It adds that warm temperatures will affect how Evenity works.

If you carry Evenity from the pharmacy to the clinic, the label limit is 77°F (25°C) and 30 days once it is out of the fridge. Keep it in the carton, unshaken, and away from direct contact with an ice pack.
