Short answer: Store Fyavolv at room temperature: section 16.2 says 68-77°F (20-25°C), the Patient Information says 77°F (25°C), and both allow excursions to 59-86°F (15-30°C). The label says nothing about the refrigerator, light or moisture. Fyavolv comes in bottles of 90 tablets or blisters of 28 in a pouch, three pouches to a carton. Source: Fyavolv label, section 16 and Patient Information.
Fyavolv is a daily menopause tablet of norethindrone acetate and ethinyl estradiol, the same combination as Femhrt. Section 16.2: “Store at 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F); excursions permitted to 15°C to 30°C (59°F to 86°F) [see USP Controlled Room Temperature].”
The Patient Information words it differently: “Store Fyavolv at 25°C (77°F); excursions permitted to 15 to 30°C (59 to 86°F) [see USP controlled room temperature].”
| Question | Label answer |
|---|---|
| Temperature | 68-77°F (20-25°C) in section 16.2; 77°F (25°C) in the Patient Information |
| Excursions | 59-86°F (15-30°C) |
| Refrigerator | Not stated |
| Light or moisture | Not stated |
| 0.5 mg/0.0025 mg | White to off-white, round, F51 and LU; bottle of 90, or blister of 28 in a pouch, 3 pouches per carton |
| 1 mg/0.005 mg | Blue, round, F52 and LU; bottle of 90, or blister of 28 in a pouch, 3 pouches per carton |
The two strengths differ by color and imprint: 0.5 mg/0.0025 mg is white to off-white with F51, and 1 mg/0.005 mg is blue with F52. Keeping tablets in their labeled bottle or blister keeps the strength and expiration date with them. The Patient Information says to keep Fyavolv out of the reach of children.
See the Fyavolv dosing schedule, Fyavolv side effects, and Prempro, Activella and Angeliq storage for other daily menopause tablets.
No ice pack is needed. Keep the bottle or blister in your carry-on, within 59-86°F (15-30°C), and out of a hot car.
