What is Sustanon 250?

Sustanon 250 is an injectable blend of four testosterone esters in oil: testosterone propionate, phenylpropionate, isocaproate and decanoate. The short and long esters are mixed so that testosterone is released over a longer stretch than one ester alone. We found no Sustanon product in FDA's Drugs@FDA database.

Also known as: Sustanon, Sust, testosterone ester blend.

Common strengths

In a published study, one Sustanon injection held 30 mg testosterone propionate, 60 mg testosterone phenylpropionate, 60 mg testosterone isocaproate and 100 mg testosterone decanoate, 250 mg in total (Forsdahl 2015). There is no US label strength to quote, so check the strength printed on your vial; the math below uses 250 mg/mL only as an example. It is already a liquid, so there is nothing to mix.

Worked example: mg to mL and syringe units

Sustanon 250 is already a solution, so there is no mixing. The only math is turning an amount in mg into a volume. Here it is at 250 mg/mL for 125 mg.

  1. Volume to draw. 125 mg ÷ 250 mg/mL = 0.5 mL
  2. On a U-100 syringe. 0.5 mL × 100 = 50 units
The amount here is an example to show the math, not a recommendation. How much to take is a decision for you and your prescriber. Check the strength printed on your vial; the same amount is a different volume at a different strength.

US status and what studies found

We found no Sustanon product, and no product containing testosterone phenylpropionate or testosterone isocaproate, in FDA's Drugs@FDA database. Testosterone and its esters are Schedule III controlled substances in the US (21 CFR 1308.13(f)), so having it without a valid prescription is illegal. WADA bans testosterone in sport when it is taken from outside the body.

In a randomized, placebo-controlled study in 19 healthy men given two Sustanon 250 injections three weeks apart (Solheim 2020), the doping-test steroid profile was flagged in every man on Sustanon, and blood markers used by WADA were flagged in six of nine. In a follow-up study, all four esters could be found in dried blood spots for at least 5 days after an injection, and three of them for up to 14 days, after the injections (Solheim 2022).

There is no FDA label for people, so there are no label warnings to quote; the harms below are the ones the cited sources report.

Sustanon 250 half-life and time to peak

  • Half-lifeNot listed
  • Time to peak (Tmax)Not listed

Sustanon is four esters that each clear at their own rate, so there is no single half-life, and we found no US label or human study that gives one for the blend. Dose Track has testosterone propionate built in if you want to log one ester on its own.

How to track Sustanon 250 in Dose Track

  1. Add Sustanon 250 as a custom compound. Start typing its name and Dose Track fills in the details from its research library for you to check, and it sits next to everything else you take.
  2. Save the vial strength (for example 250 mg/mL). Every amount you log then shows in mL and syringe units.
  3. Log each shot. The app subtracts it from the vial, shows what is left, and warns you before you run out.
  4. Set reminders on your own schedule, whether that is daily, weekly or every few days.
  5. Your log is stored on your phone and no account is needed. Data only leaves it for features you choose, like AI answers and lab reading.

Frequently asked questions

How many mL is 125 mg of Sustanon 250?+
Divide the amount by the strength on the vial. At 250 mg/mL, 125 mg is 0.5 mL. At a different strength the volume changes, so always check the label. The amount is only an example for the math, not a recommendation.
How many units on an insulin syringe is 125 mg of Sustanon 250?+
On a U-100 insulin syringe, 1 mL is 100 units. At 250 mg/mL, 125 mg is 0.5 mL, which is 50 units. Multiply the mL by 100 to get units.
What is the half-life of Sustanon 250?+
Sustanon is four esters that each clear at their own rate, so there is no single half-life, and we found no US label or human study that gives one for the blend. Dose Track has testosterone propionate built in if you want to log one ester on its own.
Is Sustanon 250 FDA approved?+
We found no Sustanon product, and no testosterone phenylpropionate or isocaproate product, in FDA's Drugs@FDA database. Testosterone esters are Schedule III controlled substances in the US.
What is in Sustanon 250?+
Four testosterone esters: 30 mg propionate, 60 mg phenylpropionate, 60 mg isocaproate and 100 mg decanoate, 250 mg in total per injection in the product used in a published study (Forsdahl 2015).
Can I track Sustanon 250 in Dose Track?+
Yes. Sustanon 250 is in Dose Track's research library, so when you add it as a custom compound its details are filled in for you to check. You can then log each shot next to your other compounds, save the vial strength so every amount shows in mL and syringe units, see how much is left in the vial, and get reminders. Your log is stored on your phone and no account is needed. Data only leaves it for features you choose, like AI answers and lab reading.
