Short answer: Yes, both are listed. In the Wegovy adult weight-loss trials, headache was reported by 14% versus 10% on placebo, and dizziness by 8% versus 4%. Zepbound reported dizziness in 4% to 5% versus 2%; headache is not in its table. The labels also report low blood pressure and fainting, often tied to fluid loss, and list headache and dizziness among the signs of low blood sugar.
| Medicine and trials | Headache | Dizziness |
|---|---|---|
| Wegovy 2.4 mg, adults, weight reduction | 14% (10%) | 8% (4%) |
| Wegovy 7.2 mg trials | 9% on 7.2 mg, 8% on 2.4 mg (7%) | 6% on 7.2 mg, 5% on 2.4 mg (1%) |
| Wegovy 2.4 mg, ages 12 and up | 17% (16%) | 8% (3%) |
| Zepbound 5, 10 and 15 mg, weight reduction | Not in the trial table | 4%, 5% and 4% (2%) |
| Ozempic, type 2 diabetes | Listed among reports after approval | Listed among other side effects above 0.4% |
| Mounjaro, type 2 diabetes | Not in the trial table | Not in the trial table |
The Wegovy 7.2 mg dizziness figure includes dizziness on standing. A side effect missing from a table means it was not reported often enough, or not often enough above placebo, to be listed; it does not mean it cannot happen.
Two labels report blood pressure drops in their weight-loss trials:
If you take blood pressure medicines, these are the figures to bring up with your prescriber. The blood pressure page covers what the GLP-1 trials found for blood pressure overall.
The Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro and Zepbound leaflets all list dizziness or light-headedness and headache among the signs of low blood sugar, alongside sweating, shakiness, blurred vision, fast heartbeat, hunger and confusion. They say the risk is higher when the medicine is used with insulin or a sulfonylurea. See low blood sugar on GLP-1 medicines for the trial rates.
The Mounjaro and Zepbound leaflets list "fainting or feeling dizzy" and "very rapid heartbeat" among the symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, together with swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat, trouble breathing or swallowing, and severe rash or itching. They say to stop the medicine and get medical help right away if these happen.
For everyday headaches or light-headedness, useful notes are the day it happens relative to your dose, how much you drank, any vomiting or diarrhea, blood pressure or blood sugar readings if you take them, and other medicines. Dose Track keeps those notes next to each dose.
